About SME Planet Kenya
SME Planet Kenya is a non-profit Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG), registered in Kenya (No. CLG-BTWTPAAEL) in 2024 to provide technical advisory services in sustainable enterprise development to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Our management and coaching teams share many years of international collaboration before the official registration of SME Planet Kenya in the field of SME development and financing in agri-based industries, manufacturing and services sectors. This includes successful implementations with ACELI, AGRA, AFAWA, the UN International Trade Centre, GIZ, AfDB, The EU, ACP Secretariat, Graça Machel Trust, IFC, USAID, regional banking associations, regional banks, diaspora groups & impact investors.
Today, we have representatives in five East African nations, three West African countries, Central Asia, the Pacific islands and Europe.

Our history
Our working relationships began more than 10 years ago through successful engagements in multi-year, donor-funded trade and enterprise development programmes and have evolved through a loose affiliation of like-minded, ethical advisory services to be formalised within the SME Planet organisation in which each country of regional association has a direct voice in determining our joint future. Our reputations are only as good as our last engagements.
